The Community Job Fair and Career Expo held on April 10th, 2001 at the Sidney High School was an overwhelming success! An estimated 750+ job seekers and students attended the event, far surpassing the goal of 400. A total of 83 exhibitors were present, also exceeding the goal of 60. View Pictures from the Event.

Many exhibitors reported that they had either filled positions, or had strong candidates for follow-up interviews. Area colleges and armed service representatives reported they have potential recruits from the event. Students from four area school districts enthusiastically explored a wide-variety of career and educational opportunities within the Chenango-Delaware-Otsego area. Thank you to everyone who attended and exhibited at the event! 

Door prize winners are as follows: Leslyn Spruce from Binghamton, Sheri Youngs from Bainbridge, MaryLou Tomao from Walton, Charlie Weber from Oneonta, Joe Hotchkiss from Deposit. Each winner will be contacted by the Sidney Chamber of Office with instructions on how to claim your prize.

The Community Job Fair & Career Expo committee is comprised of five area organizations: The NYS Department of Labor, Delaware County Office of Employment and Training, Sidney Chamber of Commerce, Sidney Schools, and Vision 21. Each organization played an integral part contributing the the success of the event.
